The amazing art of Denimu

We’ve recently discovered the british-born artist Ian Berry, also known as Denimu, that transforms old baby blues into gorgeous pieces of art.
He loves denim so much that he couldn’t let them go, so he decided to recycle them by cutting them up and using the scraps to make images of the world around him.

From that moment, this everyday garment is how Denimu express himself in life: he creates such detailed images using the stitching, seams, and various shades to create the perfect depth for each picture.

Totally amazing!

Icons, cinema inspired recycled art project

Icons‘ is an art project that considers four film icons and the fabrics synonymous with their style.

Movies such as ‘The Seven Year Itch’, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, ‘Giant’ and ‘The Searchers’ not only produced iconic images of their leading actors but also subsequently defined a timeless style in their celebrated costumes.

So, using reclaimed fabrics artists took the notion of recycling and regeneration to celebrate the association between the fabrics’ existence in popular culture and the icons who played an important part in the fabric’s success.

Disused clothing is brought back to life in this enduring marriage between icon and fabric
