For this season, Gas continued the DENIM ATELIER project, a capsule collection that was planned and created in the Artisanal Room, the research and developement brand’s laboratory. This collection includes the 100% Made in Italy garments, whose design took inspiration from the Italian flag, and by the Selvedge Denim pieces, in selvedge canvas, with Chesterfield leather labels and pure gold rivets.
The clothes from the 2014 S/S Denim Collection are characterised by real used washes, which together with degradé and destroyed effects and bleach treatments, acquire a vintage feel, as if they had been worn for years.
The color denim opens up for new shades of colours: besides the grey denim, with grey outside and light blue inside, a new azure canvas with chalk colour weft has been designed and it presents all different indago hues, thus recalling the sea theme of the main collection.
A wide variety of materials is also offered and they are combined with each other in a mix of chambray, gabardine and cotton fabrics, with floral and striped prints for him, thus celebrating the classic sailor uniform, and with tropical and roses patterns on shorts and mini dresses for her. The feminine and masculine shirts take on an original and fresh look, with small checks, jacquard and camouflage prints and innovative materials, such as the neppy canvas, with small dots of colorful threads.
The wearability of the garments goes from super skinny to carrot fit and the new models include the Ryley for Men, and the Sumatra Biker and the Sophie ¾ for Women. Another addition to the female wardrobe is the denim overall, both in a skirt and in a trouser version.
