GAS at Pitti Uomo: preview A/W 13-14

Directly from Pitti Uomo n.83, GAS shows off Men and Woman’s collection for A/W 13-14.

For him: contamination between the seemingly different worlds of Rock Biker, the ‘Eighties and Hunting creates new and original metropolitan uniforms.

The icons of the male wardrobe are reinterpreted and revamped with carefully studied materials and details: the bomber jacket in delavè black leather with band collar and diagonal zip, the duffle coat and peacoat in a mix of boiled wool and raw cut worked knit, the field jacket in felted knit with printed nylon details,  the light jacket with band collar in the same fabric but in bright colors with a bonded check lining, and the quilted jackets in washed nylon with welded zips and leather patches.

The winter chill is kept at bay with an explosion of colorful dual function pieces in lightest injected down that can be worn alone or under a parka – an appealing, versatile range comprising a bomber jacket, windbreaker with detachable hood, shirt-jacket and gilet in the range’s brightest colors with contrast linings for unusual plays of color.

For her Rock Biker, Boho-Chic and British inspiration for a collection dedicated to the woman who wears only one uniform – her own personality.
Natural or ecological, it’s leather that expresses GAS’s rock biker inspiration to the full and dominates the scene. The iconic piece here is the MERIDA bomber jacket, one of the brand’s historic models. Leather effect and eco soul for the super-skinny 5 pocket SHEYLA, for the leggings that mix eco-leather and jersey, and for the quilting technique used for details on the paper-bag skirt with diagonal zip and the curve-enhancing strapless body con dress, as well as the little Chanel jacket.

The Chanel jacket is the season’s coolest fit, in lots of versions to complete as many personal styles, in metallic wool with touches of raw cut, quilted nylon or grey mélange fleece.

A light touch and a sensual attitude for the GAS Woman, who plays with a mix of edgy outerwear like the parka or the leather jacket and tunics, romantic dresses and pleated skirts with soft, flowing lines.
Femininity expressed through sheer, ethereal fabrics, asymmetry and contrasting fabrics and colors.
Colors are decidedly refined: a well mixed range of greys, blue, contrasting black and white, and warm, strong shades of mustard yellow, green and burgundy.

GAS at Who’s Next Paris

From June 30th to July 3rd, GAS will be in Paris to participate in the Summer edition of Who’s Next, one of the most important trade fairs for young fashion and trend.

Paul Belmondo, the son of the famous Jean Paul, who shares the passion for sport and the same values of the brand, will be present at the booth on July 2nd from 2 pm to 4 pm to celebrate the return of the Company in the French market.

GAS @ Bread&Butter Berlin 2012

The next Bread&Butter Berlin edition is scheduled for January, 18 and GAS will be landing at Tempelhof with a completely revamped exhibition space.

Multimedial and interactive, the 208 sq.m. stand has been designed to be an architectural icon, an example of technological essentiality, able to narrate GAS’s identity without detracting focus from the product.

Stoner 2011 World Champion


Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner graduated yesterday as World Champion at Phillip Island, his home circuit, on the day of his 26th birthday.
After a perfect season, Casey clinched the win 2 races before the end of the championship.

Gas supports 13 fashion blogger during Privalia event ‘Belli Fuori’

Gas, a contemporary brand that always cares about fashion trends, for many years focused its attention towards the web by creating blogs, using the best social networks and maintaining a constant dialogue with fashion bloggers, real opinion leaders of today in the fashion area.
So, as attested by its famous slogan ‘Fashion is nothing without people‘, Gas has decided to sigh a partnership with Privalia, private online sales club with a fresh and innovative approach.

The project, called ‘Belli Fuori‘, suggests a new way to follow the Milan Fashion Week from the outside, with an ‘on the road’ approach: 13 young, but already established fashion bloggers will be “unleashed” among the coolest events in Milan taking irreverent shoots.

The bloggers involved in the project, which will wear t-shirts and tank tops made by Gas, the September 22nd at 10:30 am will be also guested at the Gas Store in Milan where they will choose the best bottom jeans according to their denim style.

The team of bloggers will be made by:
Sonia Grispo (Trend and the city), Nathalie Maggioni (My Floor is red), Simona Santelli (Parole Santels), Laura Manfredi (Rock’n'Mode), Eleonora Carisi (Jou Jou Villeroy), Alessandra Airò (Little Snob Thing), Fabiana Siena and Marzia Peragine (Fashion A Porter), Erika Boldrin (My Free Choice), Cristiana Stradella (Filo ago-go) and Camilla Ranzullo of Zelda was a writer in collaboration with Justine Romano and Chiara Formenti of Funky Mamas creating Funky Zelda blog.

GAS denim autumn winter 2011-12 website on-lineThe GAS on-line denim guide is now updated with the new Autumn Winter 2011-12 collection!

The site, though renovated in some details, replicates the award-winning project started during the past Spring Summer season: denim.gasjeans.com, infact, mantains the 360° videos technology, again enriched by both front and back details, zooms and full product descriptions.

The main protagonist and focus is of course the jeans, this time presented with a basic top for her and for him, and declined in 5 fits and 24 “best denim” that best represent the spirit and the collection of our brand.

From July 6th to 8th GAS participates in Bread & Butter Berlin, the largest and most important exhibition dedicated to Jeanswear and Sportswear at an international level, now at its tenth edition.

In the boot, located in Denim Base Areanumber D26, GAS presents all the new men and women collection for the upcoming Spring Summer 2012 and launches Premium Denim: a cult capsule collection devoted to “denim addicts” and all genuine connoisseurs and admirers of excellence when it comes to jeans.

New GAS STORE in Mumbai

GAS opens its new retail store in Mumbai. The 1600 sq. feet store is located on Linking Road, which is the heart of the city’s shopping district.

The design of the new store is based on the ESSENSUAL concept. The perfect mix of ‘essential’ and ‘sensual’, ESSENSUAL is the key word that captures and sums up the evolution of the brand philosophy adding passion, warmth and an international flavour to the original GAS values: positivity, freshness, authenticity. This concept is based on maximizing the uniqueness and spirit of the space itself and aimed at creating synergy with the brand through the use of its distinctive elements like the characteristic “Denim Icon”, the curvy, supple display designed ad hoc to focus fully on GAS’s core business. Divested of superfluous elements, the store represents a perfect harmony between the collections and the interior design of the space, the GAS home, where creativity and the consumer come together.

GAS will open four more stores by the end of this year in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Ludhiana and aims to open twelve retail stores within the next three years. In addition to its stand-alone stores, GAS is also available in exclusive areas within Shoppers Stop in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Amritsar. The development for distribution will continue through the following months with additional exclusive areas in different cities across the country.

GAS @ FUORISALONE 2011

World preview at Fuorisalone, Milan of the capsule collection of T-shirts born from the “Graphic Design Worlds” exhibition at the Milan Triennale.

Close ties with creativity and its always inventive approach led GAS, the well-known jeanswear brand, to embark on a new adventure as patron. Won over by the irrepressible creative force of the graphic designers exhibiting until 27 March as part of the “Graphic Design Worlds” exhibition at the Milan Triennale, organized by Giorgio Camuffo in collaboration with the brand, GAS has decided to continue this partnership by inviting some of the creatives to put themselves to the test by creating ad hoc graphics for a capsule collection of T-shirts with a high degree of creativity.

For the “Graphic Design Worlds” exhibition, the designers took an experimental approach in their interpretation of the reality that surrounds us, developing a dialogue between various sectors and disciplines such as art, music, fashion, cinema and architecture. With the backing of GAS, this interdisciplinary approach takes on form and substance, so that the wardrobe’s most basic item, the t-shirt, is given new value as a “blank canvas” to infuse with life and meaning through innovative stylistic codes.

The setting for presentation of the D-shirts in the GAS space at Superstudiopiù during Fuorisalone will be created by Giorgio Camuffo.
